Course Description:
Handgun Science 1 - Basic Fundamentals: This foundation building course is designed to help you develop the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude for responsible and safe gun ownership. If you're new to handguns, this is the course for you. We will cover gun safety, nomenclature, safe handling and operation details, ammunition details, loading, unloading, shooting fundamentals, and more! You can expect an open, friendly and safe environment to learn in. The course will begin with a safety lecture and progress into laws on storage and transport of firearms. After this, you will get to learn what to consider before even touching a firearm, how to hold it, how to manipulate it, how to load and unload it and finally, how to shoot it. This progressive, hands on learning will take place entirely on a private range. With very small class sizes, this is an ideal environment for men, women and children to learn in. This is a great husband/wife or parent/child course. Completion of this course will help prepare you for the CCW course and Handgun Science 2 - Accuracy - course.
Prerequisites: None.
Needed:
* Government issued, picture ID (driver's license, etc.)
* Note pad, & pen
* Drinks, snacks, & lunch (lots of water)

* Ammo - approximately 50 - 100rds (it's always best to bring a little extra)(arrange in advance if you need me to bring ammo for you)
* A GREAT ATTITUDE!!
Note: This is a shooting course. I can provide pistols in .22LR, .380ACP, 9MM, .40S&W or .45ACP for you to shoot if you arrange this with me in advance. You will need to bring 50rds to 100rds of new, quality, factory ammo (no reloaded ammo) for whatever caliber you intend to shoot. You can bring ammo for more than one caliber if you wish to try more than one gun. Please let me know which caliber you intend to shoot prior to the course. You are also welcome to bring your own gun(s). Just bring 50rds to 100rds of ammo for those guns.
I look forward to seeing you there!
